Air Travel

Daily flights to Murcia's San Javier Airport are scheduled regularly (to/from London (Stansted), Birmingham and Leeds/ Bradford). For details, contact telephone number 968 17 20 00.

Car Hire

Car rental companies have their own receiving area at the San Javier Airport of Murcia. Travel agencies can also make arrangements for tourists to have the best hire-a-car deals. Even so, it is always helpful to surf the net to be ahead and well informed with regard to prices and availability of car service on a particular schedule.

Bus

The bus station is located on the western side of town, near Museo Salzillo. Local bus services include Cartagena Alicante, Orihuela, and Lorca. Alsa has daily buses going to Granada (3.5hrs), Valencia (4hrs) and Madrid (5hrs).

Train

From Murcia, up to five trains travel daily to Madrid (4.5 hour travel). Trains also operate hourly to Lorca and Alicante (1.5 hour travel), which is a good place to begin at if you want to travel to greater Valencia and Barcelona. Five trains journey daily towards Madrid via Albacete. The train station is situated south of the Río Segura.
