THEME PARK
Terra Mitica
If you take pleasure in nice family outings, or simply just a theme park enthusiast, the Terra Mitica (Paramount Park) is a good destination. Although the park is situated in the boundary of Finestrat which is an hour drive away from Cartagena, Terra Mitica is the nearest theme park that you can get to.
To get there from Cartagena, take the A7 motorway north and stay on it until you pass Villajoyosa. There is a direct turnoff for Terra Mítica just a couple of minutes farther on.
The Park is subdivided into four themed areas: Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, and Ancient Spain. The rides range from small to big, from old style to contemporary roller coasters. You do not have to worry about getting hungry for there are restaurants and bars to fill you in. Parking lot is not a problem in this theme park. The unforgettable amusement that Terra Mitica brings makes it surely worth the travel from Cartagena.
