Cartagena

Cartagena is a harbor in the autonomous community of Murcia , southeast portion of Spain on the Mediterranean Sea . It is a walled municipality and has a good wharf defended by citadel. During the time of King Philip II of Spain , it was a chief nautical harbor of Spain . Today, added with its big naval shipyard, it remains an important naval seaport. Cartagena has a lot of archaeological sites. All over the old center you can find showcases with remains of Roman buildings.

La Manga

The name of " La Manga " which means ‘the sleeve,' captures an interesting geological presentation that has become one of the emblems that best classifies the shoreline of Murcia as a tourist resort. It's literally a chain that stretches to approximately 24 kilometers, from Cabo de Palos to the Punta del Mojón , and is the natural limit of the salt water lake known as the Mar Menor .

On this town lies the renowned Hyatt Regency La Manga , a fabulous five-star resort. La Manga's beautifully-landscaped resorts offer three of the finest golf courses in Europe . It also has a lot of modern hotel amenities that tourists can rely on for all their needs. There are also a host of stylish restaurants and lively bars where the locals and town visitors alike have a good time.

Jumilla

Jumilla is the wine-producing district of Murcia in southern Spain . Jumilla's wine production is particularly notable for its use of Monastrell. Monastrell is the Spanish term for the French word Mourvedre. It is a variety of wine grapes grown around the world.

Moratalla

Moratalla is a little township, with just an area of 961 square kilometers, located in southeastern Spain . Belonging to the autonomous community of Murcia , its main sources of income are tourism and agriculture. The place is ideal for growing apricots, almonds, barley, and olives.

Yecla

Yecla is a small town in eastern Spain , farther north of the autonomous community of Murcia . It covers 608 square kilometers and the town's population is only a little over 30,000. Yecla is located on the western slant of Monte Castillo , which rises above the left bank of the Arroyo del Jua , an offshoot of the Segura River .

A lot of the structures in Yecla are half ruined citadels. An example is the parish house of worship with a Corinthian facade column.

Yecla's main source of income comes from commerce of grain, wine, oil, fruit, and other agricultural products. Furniture-making has also been a lucrative industry for the locals ever since the 1950's.
