Museo Salzillo

This museum displays different masterpieces of the Murcian sculptor Francisco Salzillo (1707-1783). It is located in Ermita de Jesus , a notable chapel with Baroque design. Exhibited here are Salzillo's extraordinary sculptures carried during Holy Week processions. Displayed in the museum include his marvelous Nativity figures in small sizes.

Museo de la Ciudad ( City Museum )

This museum is situated in the villa of a well-known Murcia family of the 16th century. The City Museum meticulously documents the history of the city and region, with a fastidious highlighting on the region's art, crafts and ethnography. At the back of the building is an orchard dating back to Moorish times, watered by the Caravija aqueduct.

Museo Arqueológico (Archeological Museum)

The Archeological Museum has an appealing anthology of artifacts from the prehistoric, Roman and Islamic period. The best part among the exhibits is the particularly excellently adorned Iberian pottery. There is a minimal number of items with English captions in this museum. Most of the artifacts are captioned in the vernacular
